Getting to Ylläs Lapland Ski Resort and Lapland Feeling Lodge
Thanks to its excellent transfer facilities, to Kittilä and Rovaniemi Airports, Ylläs is one of the most easily accessible ski resorts from departure points throughout Europe.
It is also one of the most easily accessible European ski resorts from departure points across Asia and the Far East, due to the fact that Helsinki (Finland's capital) is often used as a stopover for many of the shortest and fastest routes between the two continents giving you the opportunity to take a Ylläs holiday in the heart of Finnish Lapland.
Ski Flights take only few hours from most European airports (depending on the type of the flight) and it is only half an hour's coach, taxi or rented car transfer from Kittilä Airport and two hours by rented car or taxi from Rovaniemi Airport to Ylläs Ski Resort.
There are two possibilities to fly to Ylläs Ski Resort:
-
Booking a seat to Kittilä (with connection coach transfers to Ylläs) or to Rovaniemi on a direct chartered flight.
These Ski Flights are arranged from many European cities and can be booked from your travel agency or directly with the airline.
-
Booking a seat to Kittilä or Rovaniemi on a scheduled flight via Helsinki. Bookings can be made with the airline
or your travel agency.
Besides the flights there are also excellent scheduled train connections from Helsinki and charter train connections from Moscow and St Petersburg to Ylläs Ski Resort (to Kolari and Rovaniemi Railway Station).
From certain European countries (e.g. Sweden, Germany and Estonia) it is also possible to travel to Helsinki, Turku and Hanko by ferry and continue your journey by train/motorail.
